Getting to MWC Los Angeles

However, due to the limited number of wheelchair accessible vehicles in their fleet, reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Attendees with special mobility needs may request to be dropped off at a location in The VIP Drop Off and Pick Up area on Pico Drive. To access this area, the attendee must request a special access sticker for the car in advance, and no later than October 4, from [email protected].

The Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) offers convenient parking. The LACC’s South and West Hall Parking Garages are easily accessible from major freeways.

Pay a daily flat rate of $15-40 depending on event and parking location – no validation required.

General parking garage hours are 5:30 am – 9:00 pm daily.

Standard ADA parking spaces are available in the LACC garages on a first come, first serve basis.

Wheelchair Accessibility
  • The LACC has automatic entry and exit doors, ADA-compliant manual doors, and a wheelchair accessible lift in the foyer alongside elevators that provide access to all areas of the facility.
  • The LACC has ADA-compliant drinking fountains, restrooms, and elevators are found throughout, and such locations can be found on the floorplan on the mobile app and on the event website, mwclosangeles.com.
Guide/Service Dogs
  • Any legitimate service animal will be allowed into the LACC.
  • There is no dedicated service animal relief area located within the event’s security perimeter, but ample areas are available outside the building.

Companion Pass Request

Attendees with disabilities who require the assistance of a companion during MWC Los Angeles can request a Companion Pass from GSMA, by emailing [email protected] up to seven days before the event. The following rules apply to the Companion Passes:

  • The companion pass will provide Silver access; for upgraded pass levels, the pass upgrade cost will be assessed.
  • The companion pass is not transferrable
  • The bearer of the companion pass must be accompanied by the individual they are accompanying at all times
  • The companion pass holder may not access any events on their own
  • All registrants must pick up their own credentials by showing their photo ID at Registration (Passport or US Issued ID)

Additional Services

Medical Staffing

  • EMS companies will provide their EMTs with training and leadership to ensure all personnel are active proponents of the ADA policy and adhere to all requirements under the law
  • EMS companies will provide one wheelchair at each first aid station opened for an event to facilitate the transportation of ill or injured persons using a wheelchair as necessary for patient evaluation and treatment. This wheelchair will be provided at no additional cost and is strictly for medical/incident related patient use
  • Rental of wheelchairs, power scooters or other medical assistive devices by EMS providers is not allowed. Attendees are responsible to procure the needed equipment through authorized local vendors.
