Parag Naik, CEO of Saankhya Labs, will present news of an initiative between Sinclair, SK Telecom, and Saankhya labs to dynamically blend 5G and Next Generation broadcast TV spectrum, also known as ATSC 3.0. The “one to many” delivery characteristic of this spectrum enables virtually unlimited numbers of viewers to access a video stream during major live events or OTT surges.
By dynamically blending these networks we can lower 5G infrastructure costs by requiring fewer cell towers be built for peak traffic times and also lower video transport costs by boosting network efficiency.
Cisco Systems estimates that by 2022, 82% of all Internet traffic will be video. What if your 5G network could simply outperform other 5G networks during high volume times during televised events and OTT surges?
