    Bring your platform knowledge, service experience, or expertise with mobile technologies, to hack a solution for people living with psoriasis.

    Do you have a platform or service that helps to create better, faster access to information? Or do you have experience and expertise that could lend itself to developing better solutions for intelligent, connected devices?

    Why not bring your knowledge, expertise and experience with tech platforms to the Novartis Biome Open Innovation Challenge – We will help you learn how you can apply such mobile tech towards building a solution for health, focusing on real-world problems that affect many people with psoriasis. And as a bonus, there will be 4 cash prizes for our Top 2 teams, for each challenge first place $5,000 and for each challenge second place $2,500.

    You will learn more about psoriasis and the key challenges that patients experience along their journey. You will also hear from experts in digital health, who will help you understand how you could adapt new and emerging tech to solve some of these problems.

    Finally, we will take you through a workshop where we will leverage all that you already know and have experience with to hack solutions for some of these problems:

    • Psoriasis patients are not able to have a full overview of their medical history, understand its impact on their day-to-day lives (income, work, schooling, social life, relationships) and understand how to effectively track their own patient journey using different resources;
    • Medical consultations in dermatology can be hard to obtain, referrals often take a long time, available clinical support programs are saturated, and in general the time healthcare providers have available to meet the needs of their patients is too short.
    • *Participants cannot enter this Competition if they are Healthcare Professionals (HCP): Any member, student, or researcher, dental, optometry, opticianry, pharmacy, or nursing profession or any other person, social workers, clinical psychologists, formulary committee members, and pharmacy & therapeutics (P&T) committee members who in the course of his or her professional activities provides medical services and may prescribe, order, dispense, recommend, purchase, supply, administer, lease, or use pharmaceutical products and/or medical technologies, and all members of their office staff.
